Japanese Tattoos
Japanese tattooing is the tradition I've spent most of my career studying. Every element carries meaning, and every element has a place — the imagery, the background, and the body it sits on all have to work as one piece.
The work below covers forearms, thighs, shoulders, and scalps: dragons for wisdom and strength, foo dogs as guardians, buddhas and lotus flowers, hannya masks, and the clouds and waves that tie a composition together. Some are standalone pieces, others are panels within a larger project still in progress.
Whether you want a single forearm piece or you're planning a body suit one section at a time, we'll start by talking through the imagery that matters to you and how it should sit on your body.
